Commerce education plays a very important role in the changing business world. It is the most important key to success in all sectors of economy. The pace of globalization, liberalization and privatization has tremendously influenced the various dimensions of Commerce education.

The Curriculum of B.Com is focused on imparting strong subject-matter expertise to students in basic theories, principles, methods and procedures of commerce and accounting. It makes students aware of social, economic and political problems relating to business concerns and helps in applying economic principles while making business decisions.

    • Pass in 12th class from CBSE / ICSE Stream or Intermediate, HSC.
    • Candidate who passed any Diploma course through Polytechnic of Telangana State.
    • A candidate who have passed any other exam which is considered equivalent by the Board of Intermediate Education – Hyderabad.

  • All evaluations are conducted as per the norm of Osmania University. These are two components of evaluations:

    Internal – 20 Marks
    External – 80 Marks

    There will be 2 internal examinations during the semester as per the schedule of Osmania University. At the end of each semester, final external examination will be conducted by Osmania University.

    Pattern of Internal Examination

    • Schedule/Date is decided by the University.
    • Each Internal Examination is of 15 Marks + Assignment of 5 Marks
    • Final Marks of internal examination is the average of two internal exams of 15 marks and assignment of 5 marks.
    • Questions are of objective types and conducted and evaluated at the college & by the college.

    Pattern of External Examination

    • Schedule/Date is decided by the University.
    • Entire examination process starting from paper setting to declaration of result is done by the university.

  • B.Com – General is and always has been a sought after academic option among students who wish to pursue lucrative careers in Finance, Taxation and Accountancy. Any business operations account for production, invoicing, insurance, logistics, finance, documentation, risk assessment, taxation etc which in turn offer good employment opportunities.

    Banking, Investments, Equity Research Analyst, Financial Accounting & Auditing, Finance K.P.O are the forte for B.Com Graduates.

    It is the basic qualification required for students who want to pursue a career as CA / ICWA / CS or M.Com.

    It is also helpful in developing entrepreneurial abilities and prepare students for self-employment.


    The goal of education is not memorizing the academic content but construction and reconstruction of life experiences and relating them to the academics thereby acquiring higher orders of learning.

    Life skills are not academic skills but the application of knowledge, values and skills leading to optimal development of the individual. Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
