At EThames students celebrates “Subject Day” on a specific subject of their curriculum. It’s an effort to create a culture of participative learning. It engages students in exploring more about the subject, its applied value and related business knowledge.
Our students from B.Com (Comp), Semester II had organized IP$UM 2K17 on 17th March, 2017 . The Theme of the event was “Social Entrepreneurship”. Competitions on business idea, Business quiz and sessions by successful entrepreneurs were organized on the theme of the day. Renowned social enterprises of Hyderabad were the partners of this event.
Mr. Prashanth Lingam, co-founder of Bamboo House India, shared his journey as a social Entrepreneur. His inspiring life story mesmerized the audience.
Mr. Koushik Nooguri ,co-founder of Reboot, Spaceman & Mammoth, delivered a session on lateral thinking. Through interaction and fun he discussed how to think differently.
Mr.Michael Ravikanth from Amazon delivered a session on importance of e-commerce and networking.
The following competitions were conducted during the fest:
Social entrepreneurship: the contestants had to pitch their start up ideas to develop, fund and implement solutions to social, cultural or environmental issues.
CASE STUDY: The Contestants were given a critical situation by the partner social enterprises related to their company and contestants had to suggest their solution.
BEST MANAGER: different rounds in the events enabled the contestants to enhance their managerial skills.
QUIZ HUNT: quiz hunt was a simulation of treasure hunt with an added spice of management topics.
